  1. 1. Should Garry Monk's contract be extended beyond the end of the 2019-20 season?

    • Offer him an extension/new deal

    • Send him packing/on Fernandos bike

And that is the important word, none of really know do we

And if that was the case, how come Bruce put up with it, he doesn't seem to be the type of manager who would to me

Well Bruce didn't hang around long enough did he,for us to know? Plus Bruce's '4 transfer' windows to sort things out,was a strong enough 'hint' of what he thought wasn't it?(Though apparently Monk is expected to do,what Bruce didnt without that) Course none of us know,we are not |Club insiders, but rather Fans,on a Fans Forum, speculating & expressing opinion.

Yes

I like what Monk is trying to do with the formation and he needs a chance to try it with his own players that can play the positions we now need

There needs to be huge changes in the playing staff but we need consistency in the management team to compensate that.

Applying your logic Jo’s would still be manager and we would be playing chesterfield next season

Applying your logic we got rid of him and got new managers in and won the league and will be playing man Utd next season then?

Our problems are much deeper than the manager. Keep changing them is doing jack s**t to move us forward

Bruce is a good man manager. Monk isn’t.

Here is the major problem for me. His past record proves that once he gets on a bad run he is incapable of changing things to turn the tide. He is stubborn and continues with the same approach and it ends with him getting sacked like at Swansea.

Maybe saying any less than three points is unacceptable means that if the players don't deliver this then he's given up on them and he will resign?

If every manager did the exact same thing as their record suggests all you would need to do is hire a manager who always gets promoted and you would get promoted

The one and only aim that he should have had, was not feeding his own ego.

But ensuring safety for the club, no matter how he felt about it.

His own stupid ego, and inability to manage could cost this club our place in the Championship.

We should have been safe easy with  a 12 point deduction. Now, because of his ego and abysmal tactics, we are close to relegation.

People seem to forget that we own one good player (Bannan) . Until we solve this it doesn't matter whether we have Monk or Klopp in charge

Just seen result and am surprised.

Thought more on here liked rather than disliked him as our manager.

He didnt stay long enough for us to know if the alleged 'same old' 'man management' issues would raise their ugly head with him did he?.. what we do know,is that two different Managers, found themselves unable to play certain players, and that others whose form dropped off the edge of a cliff.!!...

One thing we have been left with from Bruce's time,is Westwood on a 2 Year contract....& unable even to make the bench....(answers on a postcard how many millions allegedly in wages that will cost, before he leaves..)

There is little of substance out there for the Fans to make their mind up....odd hints from Monk, odd cryptic comment from 'pundits' who may well know a lot more than they can say publicly....Much of it we have to read in between the lines to form an opinion. What IS clear is Monk, hasnt been able to bring in his own team, has had little if any say in transfers, let alone the 4 windows Bruce said.

He has had allegedly a toxic atmosphere to deal with, an enforced COVID 19 break, which has seen him lose the services of 2 of his key squad regulars,Fox & Fletcher.(also Nando.)..

Despite this we can ONLY  be relegated by the EFL....Monk only had a 1 year contract,& may yet leave....in our current situation he over achieved in the first half of the season, before the second disintegrated, and we must look to the dressing room ,and NOT the Manager for the answer to that in my view

Yeah but you have to remember Owlstalk is a small proportion of our fan base and the more passionate fans are on here, your more casual fans (who are the majority of fans) don’t care about talking about Wednesday all the time probably don’t have a strong opinion

We will be relegated as a result of monks inability to manage or motivate the players that he has available to him. many, better than the ones in squads we have been trounced by.

His motivational skills are appalling, and if he's the man you want to lead us out of the dire possibility of league 1 then, good luck with that. because there's nothing thatg he has shown akin to any of the fighting managerial qualities of the likes of wilder etc. having to use the porkers as an example sticks in the throat, but Wilder is the perfect example of a manager able to get the best and more out of players. monk, can't get a goal at home FFS.

NO mate that isnt what he said is it..WHY? because he DIDNT say he could see what Jos was doing....(did he?) He said Monk...and therefor was happy to give him time to bring in his own players to do it...Thats what you are alluding to,not him..
