  1. 1. Should Garry Monk's contract be extended beyond the end of the 2019-20 season?

    • Offer him an extension/new deal

    • Send him packing/on Fernandos bike

Isn’t he on a rolling contract?

You could be right, but I'd be interested to hear what makes you think that.

I recall it being reported at the time of his signing, that he had signed until the end of the season. Upon trying to check that now, I only find mentions of "undisclosed length".

So who knows?!

Perhaps delete this, as it's misleadingly-titled (inadvertently).

This sh*tshow isn’t of his making, but I don’t trust him to turn it around

Time to push the boat out like we did with Bruce and get a top manager in

OH BOY.............I think Pennywise is available...

Would he come back?

I very much doubt it. Not to say I wouldn't take him, I would but it's not likely.

I reckon he’d come back if the new Newcastle owners move him on

While this means the contract doesn't need to be extended for Monk to remain employed, Monk might insist on securing another year of pay before committing to rolling his sleeves up.

I didn't want to make that joke but I think we all know this is a very real possibility.

What a set back that would be, carlos with no money trying to maximise a bang average squad. If we avoid League 1 this season then we wouldn't have to wait too long under king carlos

Difficult situation... Monk maybe the only option open to us at the moment but I’m not convinced that he’s capable of building  a unified team .

As for the Chairman, I’m not convinced that he is capable of identifying a suitable Managerial  candidate or whether he knows where to go for good in-depth advice.

Yep, I'd be pretty sure there is a part of DC that would feel comfortable turning to Carlos. And we know Carlos would be back to his "favorite club" in a flash. A grim prospect.
