12 of his goals have come in injury time. A further two in 85-89 minutes (including the header yesterday).

 

Until he scored the penalty yesterday, his previous 5 goals had all come in injury time. Can't be many times in football history a player has scored 5 consecutive goals in injury time...

I would say it's likely Nuhiu has scored more injury time goals than any other Wednesday player in the club's history. Bearing in mind in olden football injury time wasn't very common and when it was played, it was much shorter.

 

From the 1999/00 season onwards, Nuhiu is miles ahead of any other player for injury time goals (3 or more goals shown in list):

 

12 - Atdhe Nuhiu

4 - Lucas Joao

4 - Chris Maguire

3 - Steven Fletcher

3 - Fernando Forestieri

3 - Gary Hooper

3 - Kieran Lee

3 - Steve MacLean

3 - Marcus Tudgay

He’ll be involved on Wednesday and will most likely score. He always seems to against Middlesbrough.

 

I think we’ll offer him a one year contract. Will he sign it? Well he’s hit 50 goals now so he might think it’s a good time to call it a day here but I think he’s around 25 appearances short of 300 at S6 so he might fancy another season at Wednesday?
