Dawson and Wildsmith have gone backwards and are not up to the job as our new number 1. It’s been clear for ages. I think I posted about 2 years ago that Wildsmith was no better than Richard O’Donnell. We badly need a proper keeper if we’re not going to play Westwood

bolton9owl
Can’t agree with you more Dawson and Wildsmith as youngsters were acknowledged as good for the future but always being in Westwood’s shadow has affected both of them and they have not really come on In reality they have been daughter in to play the No.1 keeper role by default. To be fair i think our goalkeeping coaches must shoulder some of the blame, what do they do with them day after day, neither can command an area, neither have the confidence to rise up and collect the ball from corners and both make silly goalkeeping errors. By comparison to other keepers in the Championship they are ‘just average’ at best. Wednesday have repeatedly had good keepers now is the time to go out and get another one - please !
BRADDO
They both league 1 or 2 standard. Never good enough for this level.

Devonstrix
I think Dawson and Wildsmith are both L1 keepers. Let’s hope the EFL don’t give em the chance to prove it next season. if we do stay up, we certainly need to off load one of them and bring in a proper championship keeper, like Westwood used to be. j17tjp
I don’t have ifollow so not seen any of today’s game. How did we let 5 in ? poor GK ? Bad defensively ? poor formation ? fulham just too good ? people don’t want to lose the hearing & docked points, but from what Ive seen this year, we are L1 standard
