Interesting that Chris Hughton is keen on the Bristol City job but twice turned down Wednesday. Any decent managers will continue to shun the Owls until the threats of points deduction and transfer embargoes are lifted. You don’t have to be a Monk supporter to realise he’s as good as we’re going to get with the threat of division 1 hanging over us. Might also be running out of options not managed for a while, cannot afford to be too choosy.

Convert our home season tickets to away season tickets. Much more entertaining, and will work out a lot cheaper as well.

Binky Griptite
I'm not a fan of Garry Monk. I'm a fan of Sheffield Wednesday, as such I want Sheffield Wednesday to do well, under whoever is the incumbent manager; the manager is currently Garry Monk and as such I really hope he does well.

Lowest number of goals at home in the league. 2 in the first half! 1 win at home in 2020 - Charlton! There are lies, damned lies and statistics. They may be correct, but you have been very selective in the time frames you have used. Here's some more indisputable facts: 4 points out of 6 Unbeaten in 2 2 consecutive clean sheets Like you, everything I've said is true, but lacks a wider context. It's not that many of us are necessarily "supporters" of Monk. But many of us do see the bigger picture, as well as recognising that any replacement will face the same difficulties.

There are some fans like me who are happy to give him the benefit of the doubt given the context he's found himself working within. Both camps want the best for Wednesday. There's nothing to be gained from this kind of divisive nonsense. What context is this exactly?

Sultan_Pepper
He's set us up well recently, picked the best players he has available under bad circumstances and only been let down by player errors. Should probably have started with either Murphy or Windass last night instead of both but other than that since we resumed he's done his job well, needs the players to do theirs and hope our lawyers can do theirs as well

Whose best players are ageing, injury prone or unwilling to accept new deals. That there's no money available to recruit high calibre replacements. That he couldn't bring his own backroom staff. That we've been financially mismanaged and as a consequence are facing a points deduction. I could go on, but those of us who see the bigger picture understand this. Bakewell Owl
he arrived with the supporters in turmoil due to the Bruce debacle, he inherited an ageing squad with by all accounts some noisy dissenters, who are only with us for the money, he hasn't been allowed to bring in his own backroom staff or players some results have been spectacular, some have been dire, performances and tactics are all over the place all in all a horrible situation, but chopping and changing again will not help, and lets face it who of enough quality to sort it out would come here stop the divisive talk, get behind him and do what we can do support him and the club
