Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I think we had the best seven games of Kenwyne Jones’ career.
Decent lower league full back signed on a free and transformed into a Rolls Royce of a central midfielder teeing with crucial goals
Waddle and Francis got our moneys worth anyway.
Jose Semedo, hes magic, you know...
I think Ross Wallace was about as good as
they get in recent times when it come to value.
signed on a free, wouldn’t have been on massive wages and got 3 years good service out of him. Was rarely injured.
tudgay, was money well spent, all things considered. Keiran lee , Westwood, lees, bannan, Buxton, all good servants to the club who cost zilch in transfers fees. People quick to point out the bad buys we make, but also some decent ones in there we did get
biggest mistake was not selling them on for profits when we had the opportunity. Hindsight a wonderful thing
John Paul McGovern
Can not believe John Harkes has not been mentioned, he was a players player, worked his socks off for the team.

Sterland, Worthington, Pearson Nigel.
Martin Hodge. Gary Megson. Gary Shelton.
Forestieri, he won't get near that first season again.
Different times, I know, but can you imagine what a player would be worth today if they had a top flight season like he did in 84|85.
I also think, although he won his England cap at Arsenal, we definitely had the best of Marwood.
hirsty must be up there ....300 games 100+ goals got us promoted , 3 rd in the top flight and helped win our only trophy since before the war , made £1.75 million profit on him on as well .
Bored of the consistent early 90s reminiscing, but some of the below come to mind:
