Garry Monk “All the players are on the brink"

Recommended Posts

We’ve got to stop using excuses - for on the field issues & off the field issues

Manager off the month nominations

- Lee Bowyer (charlton off the field financial mess)

- Paul Cook (Wigan - admin off the field financial mess)

i can’t buy this - it’s all DC fault for the performances on the pitch. It’s Monk who sets them up, monk who trains them , Monk who picks the team

Wish he would stop making excuses and people making excuses for him - he is so far out of his depth it’s untrue.

Wickham doesn't do much running around - if he's on the 'red line' after half dozen games in three weeks he needs to pack in football - looks like a Sunday league player anyway.

Lee needs to retire - why do we continue employing footballers who can't play football because they are crocks?

Maybe should have used some common sense and not released a load of squad players that you were incapable of man managing.

Bored of his excuses now

Have you ever thought that it may not have been his decision, considering our wage bill?

Even with the hearing out if way we are not out if FFP strife.

Because you've seen what we're like without them, a la last night.

At least we competed in the previous four games with them on the pitch.

At the end of the day, we need them in the squad.

We've got sod all to 'rotate'.

He Fletcher ditched us or is he still under treatment?

To join those who think Monk is good enough

Not sure he thinks any are good enough, but it is what is because of previous ridiculous transfer policy.

Steve Bruce said it was going to take many transfer windows to change the squad round.

Still doesn't change the fact that Monk isn't good enough

Not quite sure you understand the life of a professional elite athlete mate

It's not like working in Timpsons you know

Elite athletes shouldn't be knackered after  five games after sitting on their arses for three months.

It's like saying they are knackered five games into a new season at the end of August.

Apologies if I don't listen to your expert elite athlete advice and go with the summary of the professionals instead

If our players are tired already, there is something seriously wrong with our training and fitness.

Think its more to do with over playing players who have a poor recent injury record , one who doesn't belong to us

I think you probably already knew that really

Its a good job the NHS staff didn't use the same trainers at the club, they would all be knacked after one 24 hour shift saving people lives.

How long is it again a footballer has to play for each week 180 - 270 minutes with breaks every 22 minutes for drinks and energy bars. God they have it hard, how do they do it and not red line.:bullen:

They introduced the drinks breaks and additional substitutions as a result of the increased risk of injury following such a long time away from competitive football.

'Knackered' and 'at increased risk of injury' aren't the same thing.

How much of a disruptive influence where the likes of Hutchinson and Westwood in all seriousness?

Does it really matter if players are disruptive if the performances are resulting in 3 points. They can’t have been that disruptive can they??

They’re only ‘disruptive’ because they’re both leaders and winners, both had pretty decent careers. Would imagine if there’s an issue they’d say something and weak managers don’t like that.

It’s bizarre that there are so many people on here who are very happy to swallow all of this BS about trouble makers etc yet they don’t seem to ask why we don’t win games anymore since all of these better players were omitted.

If anything they get off on being proven right.. when we beat Bristol they were out in force telling everyone that look at what happens now they’ve left etc. 3 defeats on the spin and it’s still not Monk’s fault on the basis that we have a very thin squad. Mostly because Monk binned them all off. It’s weird
