Guest wilyfox Posted July 4, 2020 Share Posted July 4, 2020 As much as I'd love Wickham here permanently, it would mean another huge outlay on a 27yr-old with question marks over him. I simply don't see how it would be financially viable or show that we've learned from past mistakes. That said, I would not spit the dummy out if he does come back. Maybe we are the club for him, in a homely sense. Wherever Wickham ends up, he needs to be a regular starter next season. For all his talent, scoring a few goals to help Sunderland avoid relegation years ago is his biggest achievement to speak of.
