In the last 3 seasons which you haven't shown, he's received 0 red cards and 18 yellow cards in 60 appearances. That's 1 yellow every 3.33 games.

in the same period Barry Bannan  has picked up 29 yellow cards in 116 games, 1 every 4 games. Not a lot of difference really, to say SH is labelled a 'liability'.

In his first 3 seasons he could be rash but he has calmed down a lot in recent seasons.

He left Sheffield around the start of the New Year apparently so he has basically been pocketing a wage for six - seven months whilst not even training with us.

Another player like FF who was fantastic in the early part of his time here, but over the last two - three seasons has done very little.

Regardless

people are still blaming him

Hilarious.

Fookwits

Any chump can ride luck for a season.  Billy Davies took Derby up.

Stop acting like CC walked on ******** water.  If Brighton pulled their heads out of their arses in leg one, he'd be a nonstory.

I think Sam has shown today that he is a wrongen. Everyone at the club aware of the wage situation and what is going off.

Why did he feel the need to leak this ? The club has been nothing but loyal to him through his injury crisis and rehabilitation.

Dont think it would bode well with a future employer leaking information.

Glad he's gone.

He says it’s not a problem......but you interpret that as he is the one who leaked it?

Not read the whole thread, and I know it’s something I harp on about, but his comments on Carlos and Bruce are interesting. Basically saying they knew when a player needs an arm around the shoulder, whereas monk and Jo’s booted him out without an explanation. I think we now have a good picture of monks management style, and Jo’s lack of it.

it seems obvious what style of manager the players like and will “ run through brick walls” for.

And look what can be achieved if you get that.

Bruce was only here for 18 games.

Whatever issue arose around Christmas time, there's nothing to say it wouldn't have happened under Bruce as well.

But to be fair, he was outstanding in his last season and left us in a great position.

Thanks Carlos. Legend.

If he'd been outstanding in that season - he'd probably still be here.

And you completely ignore the fact that the signings werent his. he made the best of what was bought for him

Sounds like a right arrogant git, like the club should revolve around him.

Think he wanted to pick the incoming manager .

Basically he didn't get on with managers that didn't indulge him and let him swan about the place doing what we wanted.

He may have been a good player - when he wanted to be , just like FF - but overall I would say his negative,  disruptive attitude cancelled that out and more.

He strikes me as a massive ego who's not very self aware.  You can be disruptive without standing in the middle of the room shouting and screaming.  He's demonstrated that by leaking the payment issue to the press, that's disruptive.

He think's he's god's gift and he's owed something.  Making comments that it's not great when he's not involved and he doesn't want to be involved in a losing team.

He's a demonstration of everything that Carlos got wrong.  Signed massive egos to long contracts who want to do what THEY want, not what the manager wants. I wish him no ill but I'm glad he's gone. Good riddance.
