Agree. We'll never know what's gone off behind the scenes, there'll be 3 sides to the story, his, the managers and the truth.... So I judge him on when he crossed the line to play football and represent the club and he always gave his all. He wanted to play football and knew who paid his wages so didn't let any off field issues effect his effort on the pitch.

Or how he played in a team for 5 years that is exactly in the same position as when he arrived ?

"Great player" Christ. 20+ years of being shít and someone as achingly average as Sam Hutchinson is now thought of as a great player. 3 2

So why do people get their knickers in a twist? If we needed a tactics-bereft coach to roll out the cones and let players do whatever, why not give the job to Bullen? If you're not a builder as a manager, you're just a maintainer. He failed at that.

I think he has answered any questions hanging over why he has not featured 'my face didn't fit TWICE'. That's two disciplinarian managers that wouldnt include him. That speaks volumes to me. Squad and team looks more unified to me since he's gone. 1

Sergeant Tibbs
1 hour ago, SallyCinnamon said: Please provide proof that Carlos let the players do what they want. Keeps getting thrown about on here but no one ever backs it up with evidence. Has a player said it in the press? Has Carlos gone on record to say it? Please I’m intrigued. George Boyd commented that he was amazed how low the fitness levels were, how it contributed to the first long term injury he had in years. When Lukuhay arrived it was widely publicised that any players who were late to training would be dropped. If players were punctual why would he need to say it. By his own admission, Hutchinson could thrash things out in the managers office with Carlos. Tail wags dog.

Penfold
Listened to the interview and I thought he came across as gutted and he really enjoyed his time with the club. Sounds like he was having a few digs at time at players or staff though. Maybe he doesn’t realise the effect he’s had on others due to his character. Maybe a good time to move on for both parties but thanks Hutch for putting your body on the line when you were wearing the shirt.
