S36 OWL
That muddys the waters. If we get shafted, that leaves them all scrapping over one relegation place.
Popular Post matthefish2002
Being selfish this is potentially good news for Wednesday. But Wigan do have my sympathy and I wonder how many other clubs will go into Administration soon.
theowlsman
Wigan have been playing well too. Such a shame. Might mean we can persuade Windass to sign on a free though. Edited July 1, 2020 by theowlsman
HarryPlopper
I believe the 12 points deduction won't happen, they will argue that current climate has impacted their cash flow.
latemodelchild
This will see other clubs really pushing for us to be deducted points, 2 relegation places taken up innit.
Popular Post Kernow_Blu
Good luck to Wigan Athletic. Never nice to see a football club enter administration. 37

Rightly so, hardly their fault is it.
alanharper
They're actually in really good form, won something like 6 out of 7 games. Maybe their thought is to take the hit now and hope their form still enables them to stay up, rather than prolonging it and then starting next season on -12.
EcclesallOwl
They’ll only be 4 points off safety and they’ve had the best form in the division over the past 15 games Could still stay up!
lanzaroteowl
This may give pause to the efl. There's going to be a lot of clubs struggling with finances.

Popular Post theowlsman
This Championship season is going to be a right farce. Wigan might not be the last to go into admin. We’re going to have a league table heavily influenced by outside matters, and not the football on the pitch, which only goes to strengthen my long term view that this season should’ve been voided. Mr C and the other owners should jointly sue the EFL for negligence in letting this season continue. 9
