Nothing

Top two go up automatically.

3rd - 6th get into the play offs.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Which was my point!

So pointless thread.

We could be 6 points off 6th tomorrow night with 6 games to go. That would be a better thread!

If Carlsberg did ends of season, we beat the efl, storm into the playoffs, Leeds implode and we beat them in the play-off final!

.....and FF gets the rest of his June pay packet paid over 10 year instalments.

🥺 If only Bruce had stopped. Just our luck.

If only DC hadn’t waited until mid-September (2 whole months after Bruce left) to find a new coach.

If only we had hired one of the many decent managers available.  Rather than what we ended up with.

Losing our promotion-specialist manager in pre-season was unfortunate but these things happen.  The response by the club’s hierarchy lacked leadership.

The season was still totally salvageable if DC had got his ducks in a row.  Instead he froze.

For me it’s totally unacceptable that we’re stuck in the bottom half of the table with only 7 games to go.

Bruce would have had us in the top 6 this season though.  No doubt about that.

Still looking down myself, we only need 2 wins from the last 7 games to stay up on merit.

But obviously a big points deduction means we need to keep getting as many points as we can.

Zero chance of finishing in the playoffs

Yep, faffed around seemingly hoping that Bullen was going to turn into Mourinho on the job.

Having had Bullen as an employee for 5 year he should have been able to make that call without giving him a two month trial period.

IF we win

IF Preston and Derby draw

IF we keep hold of all our points tomorrow!

3 big IFS but how the hell has that happened?!

If Cardiff blow up it's going to be one of the lowest points totals to make the play offs in years.

That's the spirit mate I'm with you, if you look at your pint being half full rather than half empty then the world becomes a less darker place.

Since coming back on here after a few months break you can really see the positive/negative split, but the daft thing is,

if you're perceived to be positive you're pro DC and deemed part of the problem and if you're perceived to be negative you're anti DC and deemed part of the problem lol

As the song goes and we use to sing 🎵 "Always look on the bright side of life", "worse things happen at sea you know" 🎵

I really didn't think play offs was achievable after the restart. To gain the AVG. points needed for playoffs, we needed to win the last 8. Also with the points deduction thing who knows what will happen. I also thought results went our way for a number of weeks prior to the lockdown but we were just so hopeless there was no way we would capitalise.

But....and it's a massive but, WBA havent been at the races since the restart, and the next couple of fixtures are against 7th and 8th place. I would have thought if we won the next 3 games, there's a very good chance we will be 7th and hot on the heels.

But it totally wouldn't surprise me if we got battered tonight, then got a points deduction and ended up in the bottom 3.

As I recall, only once in the history of three points for a win (about 40 years now) has a team been relegated with as many as 54 points (Peterborough a few years ago). We're already on 52, so there's no worries there at all.

Obviously, a potential points deduction is an entirely different matter.
