IF we win

IF Preston and Derby draw

IF we keep hold of all our points tomorrow!

3 big IFS but how the hell has that happened?!

If Cardiff blow up it's going to be one of the lowest points totals to make the play offs in years.

forget about it. Points deduction pending

The problem is that if Cardiff blow up then there are 3 teams already 5 points ahead of us who could just as easily go on a run.

2 more teams who are 4 points in front of us, and so on...

Are all of those teams going to blow up too, not impossible, but highly highly improbable. And that is what we would need, along with a historic winning run from us if we wanted to grab 6th.

73 points is the average haul needed for 6th, and I could be mistaken but I think that the lowest ever was 68 points. Theoretically it can be done, but most of the teams above us would effectively need to stop trying.

Is there?

It’s just strange how so many people have already made their minds up that the club is at fault.

The same fans who probably sang about the EFL every game .... but yeah, they’ve already decided it’s the club that’s in the wrong.

Looking from the bottom 3 - 50 points might not be enough to stay up what a strange season this has been.

Let's hope we don't lose any points then see where we are with 3 or 4 games left.

Very strange. Even stranger that the same fans were waxing lyrical about Chansiri taking on the EFL in the first place. I'd still be very surprised if there's a points deduction.

We should’ve been 5th or 6th this season even tho how crap we’ve been.

The top 4 are decent although they aren’t a wolves, Brighton or Newcastle.

The rest are meh

I think Carlos's teams of his first two seasons would have blown this league away.

Its getting a bit late to be talking about ifs!

IF we'd averaged a fairly measly 1.3 points per game (i.e. lower midtable form over a season) from those 14 games between Christmas and lockdown, we'd have been in the top 6 now.

true, its depressing how much we've screwed up this year in a very very average division.

Even before Christmas when it went ******** up, we were looking at all those late goals we conceded and saying we should have been in the top two.

To be fair, even if we do not receive punishment in the EFL hearing, the club has still made an arse of the financial strategy.
