handworth52
if you think weds not paying players on time is big news then watch this space over next few weeks /months . only the premier league will happen next season , and maybe the championship , the other leagues no chance . the efl can in effect end the life of this club if they hit us very hard . how can club survive in league 1 with zero income? and just over 900k a year tv money? Apparently DC put June 2018 on the cheques by mistake. Technical error that's all. Edited June 30, 2020 by S36 OWL 1

Guest mkowl
I understand that players effectively get a months notice pay if they are out of contract and not signed another. The club could be choosing to pay the notice pay and any final contractural payments at the end of the notice period ie 31 July Given the 30th June is final pay day then someone was hot on the phone to a journo mate

Swiss Toni
Loads on here say DC is minted though and just isn’t able to flex his financial muscle. Surely paying contractual wages is a given. Hardly a great show of financial wealth that.

You think potential signings given the choice of signing for a club that have had reports of players not being paid twice and a club that haven’t had these reports would decide to come to us? One was a banking error confirmed by an apology from the bank itself. The second a rumour yet to be confirmed. Why would the chairman go through all this with the EFL, sell the ground to himself for 60 million or what ever it was, Single handily fund the club through Covid 19 and Offer season ticket refunds. Also sign the 4 on loan players on extended contracts if he had no money. Smells of scare mongering to me and disputes over what departing players are owed. Sooner the said players are gone the sooner we can move on. WAWAW
