BREAKING - Look North reporting some players NOT being paid in full this month

This isn’t accountancy.

There have been no reports of salary errors in April and Mays wages. There have no been matches for the last 3 months. No win bonuses. Nobody left the club (officially).
There would be no reason for the payroll entries to change, presumably all done electronically, just follow the previous 2 months template. June salaries should be the same as the last 2 months.

Unless somebody has amended payroll info.

I’d be asking who controls the finances.

Unless the reporter -  Staton  - has been given duff info.

Well its payroll which accountants enjoy looking at.

Things like this happen..and happen often.

A few occasions I have been paid wrong, usually extras and expenses, although I have been overpaid too on two occasions.

on the overpayments I did wonder shall I not say anything, but there is no point as it all comes out in the wash so have always contacted payroll to sort it

A complete non story but does make you wonder who the grass is

or if someone has just made it up

You don’t get agreements from PL clubs to extend loans on there players if you can’t afford to pay

Someone’s creating stories

Too early to go into blind panic about all this yet. May just be a payroll issue or a disagreement over contract terms. Long term we will have to cut our cloth more sensibly with wages that's for sure. The Fletcher, Westwood, Rhodes contracts I can't see us giving again for a long time. Otherwise stories like these may get even scarier.

Not true

Why I employ someone to do it so I don't have to

But the one truism, if it goes wrong you know about it within 5 minutes.

Good.

Hope it's FF that ain't seen his dosh.

Let him get a bank loan to repair his broken bike chain.

What are the odds it's FF that's striring the pot?

Could be a number of reasons - but my own hypothesis still remains that end of season "bonus" type payments are probably usually in June, alongside any termination payments to those at the end of a contract.

These have not arisen because the season has not ended.

I don't think a contract would stipulate the actual payment date.

What has Sunday’s win against Bristol got to do with players not being paid properly on Tuesday?

Can our players predict the future?

If there are money issues they usually come out the woodwork well before...the timing of the story stinks of trying to derail us entirely and a complete stab in the back of the club

I though DC was minted as he keeps telling us. Not good if true.

It makes the point that he can't put his own money into the club because of the present rules.

The EFL have got big decisions to make can owners break the spending limits in order to save a club or do they let them go out of business.

Over to you

It puts the players behind the black ball who expect to be paid in full when there is little income coming in
