The Road to Redemption - Garry Monk Edition

Can’t believe it’s taken him until June to realize we have the squad for 3-5-2.

I think most on here had it pegged by about September.

Good result and performance today, but make no mistake...this guy has played a huge role in ruining our season

Any manager dealing with all the egos and EFL disruption would suffer. The dressing room has been toxic and that is not Monks doing.

The fuckingstate of some our “supporters”.

They should keep the cardboard cutout thing going, let them sit there with a miserable face because at least they won’t be moaning every bastardtwo minutes!

Should see the ones on Twitter today

As the match went on they were slating every player

Hopefully we shift SkyBet Man of the Match Barry Bannan in the summer. Would rather get a bit of money for the useless waste of space than put up with his poo corners and freekicks for another year #swfc

unreal some folk...we’ve just gone away from home to a tough place and won 2-1. Seriously what is up with some people?

It's clear some supporters want us relegated just so they can say 'told you so' about Monk

Since the Covid19 break:

  • Dressing room clearout
  • 4 points from the last 6
  • 2 games unbeaten
  • Every player playing with full commitment to the shirt
  • Much improved performance

Agree with this.

Too big a squad, too many players for the same position, too many fall outs, too many ego’s, too many decisions for the manager.

Sometimes it’s ok for the squad but more importantly the starting 11 to pick themselves date to reduced numbers.

So far so good since the restart. I’ve slagged him off loads but I’ll be happy to eat humble pie if that means Wednesday are successful. He deserves credit for the way the team have played the last two games — just like he deserved criticism for the way they played between Xmas and March.

Encouraging signs today, long may they continue

Thought we weren’t allowed to talk about other groups of supporters who think differently?

I'll be slated for saying it but Pelupessy didn't do much wrong. Harassed their players, got a foot in and kept it simple.

He did put it back into play on the edge of our box when he should have cleared it late on to be fair... but other than that he wasn’t bad if unspectacular.

It does though

That's the very definition of having a toxic dressing room

As he’s thinking of making another terrible substitution I can really imagine how he must be affected by the players sat at home.

Even today he brings on two of our most calamitous players when we needed calmness.

Thankfully we got away with Odubajo getting beaten easily and JP’s attempts to surrender possession to the opposites

Who is them?

Because I’m only talking about Monk here and his season performance ...
