I think we can all be rest assured that no f***er is ITK on this one. Maybe not even the IDP.

If someone was to quote one-by-one every post in this thread where someone has said that someone they know, knows someone who already knows the verdict then this thread would reach 1,000 pages tonight!

Don't know if anyone has posted this as can't be rsed to trawl back.

Below has appeared on Newsnow (yes I know it's newsnow) tonight.

Don't know where they've got it from.

Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday to AVOID relegation from the Championship as a result of financial dealings with points deductions to be imposed by the EFL next season

Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday are to avoid relegation from the Championship

Clubs both face points deductions from the EFL as a result of financial dealings

The prospect of appealing the decision will affect the relegation battle

Barnsley, Luton, Charlton, Birmingham and Boro are still in danger

I really don't understand why the IDP is taking so long to come to a decision. Surely if they can't decide that in all probability the EFL's charge is upheld then they should be declaring the case not proven, or are they having to seek further legal advice or information outside of the panel & each sides representations.

could be very interesting next year if Wednesday, Derby, Reading, Villa and Bournemouth all start the season on minus points

I think EFL will want to avoid as it would look bad on them more than anything. Plus they can’t resolve 1 case, let alone 5.

Yep, and the EFL statement which came after this makes a mockery of what that article says, at least in the context of Wigan's deduction, while also basically saying they haven't got a clue where their other ongoing cases are in terms of timescale.

Dail Mail article contradicts what Sky have said in that Wigan will have their points deducted on Wednesday.

The EFL statement which has recently been linked and posted in full in this thread out an end to this. As is usually the case, you should take no notice of anything you read in the Daily Mail!
