Exactly the type of poorly thought-out post we didn’t need amidst all this uncertainty and worry.

Should’ve got it in brine, it’s much nicer.
lol

Yeah I agree it’s unlikely he would threaten it,  EFL probably wouldn’t even care either

He 100% could just walk away

The EFL primary purpose is to protect football league clubs. If they relegate us and we can't afford to trade, thereby going into administration, the EFL will be deemed as putting the final nail in the coffin of a footballing institution. To say they don't care may well be correct, but they don't want to be seen to not care.

They put final nail in coffin for Bury , and would’ve done same for Bolton

They don’t care

HMS P*sstheleauge, has been holed below the plimsoll line, taking on water at a phenomenal rate... Some of the crew have already abandoned ship.

Do we save for a refit? Are we destined to be moored in the shallows?.. Or shall we scuttle?

Shall we lay a new keel for brand new replacement, with a new captain?

£3M+ per month?

So £36M per year plus the £25M in turnover means our current expenditure is over £60M per season?

Given Barnsley just won a 9 pt deduction would see them being able to finish above us

The legal situation gets a touch warmer

He was quoted as putting in £4m a month later year

The accounts don't back that up, unless he is including sponsorship income that he is funding in that?

Less said about the accounts not adding up in this thread the better! WTF:

True but unless they beat Brentford on Wednesday and Wigan fail to win they would still finish below Wigan even with their 12 point deduction and so would go down with us if our punishment was more severe.

If they don’t apply a deduction this season they will be fighting legal cases from all the relegated clubs

Next season doesn’t work, they have to deal with it now

Why will they, the season was supposed to finish 2 and half months ago, no way would they give us a point deductions for what would have been last season now if was wasn't for the delay caused by Covid, we could definitely argue extreme conditions

this is also a argument for Wigan, who in effect went into administration in what should have been the close season

The one thing I can be certain of is the accounts add up. We have software these days

Don’t know if that argument would stand up, the season should have ended , but it hasn’t and doesn’t until Wednesday night

It’s no argument for Wigan. Their owner chose to go down the admin route when he did, if he’d wanted to avoid a points deduction this season he only had to wait about a month.

If we get -9 - and either Barnsley, Wigan or Hull won on Wednesday night - we'd be down surely?
