Agreed, if they can’t make up their minds there is obviously doubt and the entire division can’t be made to wait indefinitely until they can come to a conclusion. Nationally I genuinely believe it’s because Chansiri won’t pick up the phone to them. Look at every other club going through either financial trouble, trouble with the EFL or boardroom unrest. They all put someone up to speak on the likes of TalkSPORT & 5live. Wednesday doesn’t have a media savvy spokesperson/chief exec, with all the answers, so DC is the voice they want to hear from. We saw it last summer, TalkSPORT badgered him for weeks when Bruce left. It’s the same at Derby, but when sh*t hits the fan, Mel Morris is on the radio that week speaking live. DC doesn’t give time of day to anyone in the national football press because, and imo to his credit, I think he sees them for what they are. They don’t report on unrest because they want it resolved ‘for the fans’ or ‘for the local community’. They report it because the chairman, chief exec etc. comes on and it makes a headline that day and it pulls in listeners/viewers/readers to their programme/article. . Or it will be even more perfect for them if we could still go down on the last day but we need to lose and there needs to be a 15 goal swing or something. Been saying it for weeks now and the more it drags on the more I am convinced that's what's going on. Neither will appeal the decision either. Surely that would be to obvious to other clubs what they have done (deducting us an amount that just keeps us up). Can imagine the relegated teams would all appeal it. Isn’t that more or less what the independent panel put together to decide Macclesfield not paying their players have just done? Just enough to keep them up. If they do only deduct enough to finish say a point or goal difference clear it’ll be interesting to see how the EFL move forwards. Because it would pretty strongly suggest that the panels don’t see relegation as an acceptable punishment for teams. . The season was supposed to be over at the beginning of May and they still haven't decided in mid-July.
