THE EFL HEARING THREAD

Recommended Posts

I just can’t be arsed anymore.

It’s completely sucked every ounce of my passion out of the club.

I know people think League One will be a laugh again, but that ship has sailed. I really cannot be bothered with the Football league trophy, round one of the FA cup and trips to Gillingham, MK Dons and such like.

That novelty went a long time ago.

The rules are there for a reason.

To try and stop clubs spending over 100% of their income on players wages and curb the economics of the madhouse that we are part of.

No-one in their right mind can think that the current situation is sustainable. There are only so many rich sons of even richer daddies out there.

Parachute payments complicate this but are nothing to do with the EFL.

If we have broken rules that we signed up to then the club deserves everything it gets, if we didnt, then great.

I think Rick Parry said the other day, owners of clubs in the EFL input £400m per season in total.

Meanwhile....

Man City will learn their fate on Monday after their hearing with UEFA.

I think that took a week.

They had Sterling delivering the verdict, we chose Nuhiu.

Nuhiu was given a two week start to even things up but came second.

Was it beyond the wit of the EFL to issue a statement saying that the hearing would begin on X date, with a decision expected on Y date? If Y came and no decision, a brief update as to when it would now be expected.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the case, that simple failure to communicate shows yet again that the EFL are not fit for purpose.

Shock horror no announcement today...

Who would have thought it?

Still no 12 point deduction...

Or is it 21...

Or 9?

9 suspended...

Or are we in administration yet...
