so if we appeal will the point deduction not happen until the appeal is finished?

No idea if am honest, but I was reliably informed the club can appeal any verdict

Sounds like the mob is baying for blood and they'll not rest until their thirst is quenched. I'm thinking 9 points could satisfy the mob, give us a fighting chance and get the EFL off the hook. Whilst 12 points, with our run in will probably relegate us. Whatever happens it'll be good to get it sorted, been going on for way too long now.

Would honestly snap their hands off for 9 points and a fresh start

From the article:

“Wednesday's battle with the EFL over charges of breaching Profitability & Sustainability rules is being heard by an independent disciplinary commission this week, after the dispute was brought forward following complaints from a number of rival clubs.”

So totally independent and not being influenced by other clubs or the EFL then...  Sounds like a fair hearing is definitely going to happen.

Why do people seem to think the EFL have some sort of agenda against us.

Exactly. If indeed we are found guilty there is only 1 person who deserves the blame and that is DC. Guilty and he needs to put the club up for sale ASAP.

I don't think the rival clubs have pushed for it to be brought forward? Where did you read that?

Sorry struggling to add the quote and highlight it. On the first post of the thread it states hearing brought forward amid concerns from other rival clubs.

Sod's law is that we'll get relegated into a division where they won't be able to play next season for the first time in like, forever due to no fans while at the same time, FFP is waived in the Championship letting clubs spend whatever they want.

Crikey mate  I must be tired ha ha! Totally missed that!

Yeah "Hearing brought forward amid concerns from rival clubs"

This gets even murkier and stranger in that case

So rival clubs have been kicking off wanting this done and dusted and us punished this season?

Wonder when they kicked off about it and why didn't they kick off the second it was announced it was going to be heard in July?

So many things are crazy about this and the hearings haven't even started yet!

It’s a bit bizarre for people to claim there’s any agenda from the EFL against the club

Absolute horrendous organisation though, from top to bottom

Always expect the worst, apart from the season when we beat United to promotion, nothing has gone our way for nay on 30 years.

Needed sorting months ago, time to face up to whatever might be coming.

Personally, I think the EFL have pinned a lot on winning this, so will be surprised if it doesn't end very badly for the club. That being said, 2020 has been so bonkers that anything could happen.

Absolutely ridiculous to be in this position though. Win or lose, Chansiri has been naive at best, utterly reckless at worse.

I would say any waiving of FFP rules while also punishing us meaning we get relegated would be grounds for a legal battle.

Would rather take any points deduction now if found guilty of wrong doing clean slate for next season in whichever league that may be, obviously would rather stay up even by the skin on the left knacker and start even Stevens next season fk starting on minus points with no glimmer of hope
