THE EFL HEARING THREAD

I honestly don't think they can announce the deduction with so few games remaining, it's just crazy to thrust a team into a relegation battle with 4 or 5 games to go. If it is bad news then the deduction will start next season, which in many ways makes it even worse.

As with Wigan?

Your comparison of the two is ridiculous......there are absolutely no financial implications in sending off a player.

If we are in league 1 next season that could easily equate to well over £1m in lost revenue to EFL clubs

Are away fans not allowed in the lower leagues?

Do you seriously think away support is a consideration?

No sign of Neil yesterday. I guess he was at the monthly dogging meet out in Oughtibridge.

Didn’t see him.

I went over with our lot to Kaiserslautern at the Fitzwalter. That was a special atmosphere (Pre standing cages). Other than that Bochum more than 50 years ago. last two or three years a couple of visits to St Pauli.

Lively bars and nightclubs draw partygoers to Reeperbahn, the main thoroughfare of St. Pauli’s raucous red-light district. Off the main street, theaters like Schmidts Tivoli and Operettenhaus present cabaret shows and musicals. Some great Curry houses, the nearby Karolinenviertel neighborhood is known for its hip local fashion boutiques and trendy cafes. Lined with fish restaurants, the St. Pauli Piers offer sightseeing boat tours.

Of the Football it is a reasonable standard but like ours nothing special anywhere since a thorough sanitisation but I think Saint Pauli fans are real standout. I'd like to get to see the derby but chances are very remote.

If you can pick the right match then Scotland away from the premier can provide some good entertainment.

You copied and pasted that from a hotel page 😂😂😂

Or was it Nev that wrote the original review???

Nah, but at least he’s personalised it for OwlsTalk with the additional and very topical reference to curry houses!

Always thought Islamic banks didn't charge interest !? Stand corrected.

Although they cannot charge interest, the banks can profit from helping customers to purchase a property using a ijara or murabaha scheme. With an ijara scheme the bank makes money by charging the customer rent; with a murabaha scheme, a price is agreed at the outset which is more than the market value. This profit is deemed to be a reward for the risk that is assumed by the bank.

There are firm laws governing the types of businesses with which the banks can trade. There should be absolutely no investment in unsuitable businesses, including those involved with armaments, pork, tobacco, drugs, alcohol or pornography.................you're welcome😇

brilliant lol

We did St.Pauli two years ago.  Pre Jos’ reign. They were playing Sandhausen.  Both teams took it in turns to absolutely awful and St.Pauli turned out 3-1 winners with two late goals.

its a very interesting place to watch your football.  Big anti-Nazi themes.  A bar we went in inside the ground had a sign on the door saying “Kein Wein fur Nazis” (no wine for nazis) and the song they came back out to after half time is in English and is about chasing the fascists out of town.

We saw some of the sights on the Reeperbahn as well.

EFL are waiting to see how many points they need to deduct to make sure we are relegated.

OR

More hopefully waiting to let season finish to announce no misdoings and no points deduction so Boro and Dingles sweat. Not a nice smell.

Isnt it an independent panel that are deciding it?  I thought it was out of the EFL hands now on the decision

Only 2 weeks till the season ends and we still don’t know if we’re getting a points deduction.  Crazy

It could be that they’re still deliberating over the punishment, but their discussions have become somewhat sidelined by what’s happened at Wigan, which has the potential for the s**t to hit the fan big time as far as the EFL are concerned, particularly since the town’s  MP seems to have taken a keen interest in the situation.

Yes, and don't forget that if Parry is the one making the waves concerning us, the Wigan situation happened on his watch - no blaming anyone else.
