THE EFL HEARING THREAD

The damage caused by parachute payments is ignored for some reason

Why don't clubs fight this unreasonable disadvantage that is thrust onto them and push for a level playing field

Because the PL would stop relegation immediately, and clubs want to reach the promised land

The EFL clubs have it in their own hands, scrap promotion and let the PL fester in their own closed shop, wont happen though

Isn't it time the EFL made a statement as to a date when the decision has to be made. Whether it is this week, next week, next month or whenever. A date when a decision HAS to be made should be included in the details of the investigation.

We need a 100 page thread when the decision is made.

If it turns out to be a Not Guilty charge then a 1 pager will do and everybody especially the club can get on with what has to be done.

Which would include a charge by Chansiri that the original EFL charges were seriously impeding  SWFC's better performance of their business undertakings.

Because the EFL havnt got the balls to stand up to the premier league and tell them they won't accept failure payments in the championship.

The blame attached to parachute payments is massively over estimated. Does anyone seriously believe that in an alternative world in which these payments to other clubs don't exist that Chansiri is operating SWFC in a financially sustainable manner?

Yet we have to compete even though they get a £gazzilion start..?

There is no alternative world, most clubs lose money...some are allowed to and some are not.

A sustainable manner...what's that mean?

If it's what I think you mean then 90% of football clubs may as well go part time.

No ambition would really pull the fans in.

Sorry to butt in, am I right in thinking we are we meant to be hearing about the points ruling / decision this week ?

There’s no time frame it will take as long as it takes.  Many thought it would be announced last Friday or Monday morning this week. The only thing we can hope is if it’s a points deduction they realise it should be announced sooner rather than later. As there’s only a few weeks of the season to go

It turns out that it was just the decision on cherry tart. It scored a 7.3. Decent score, but he's baked better.

That will be why the new head of the Premier League has called them 'Unsustainable' & implied the unfairness of them with his imminent intention  to abolish them.

That was based on a garbled report from one journo who said the Disciplinary Commission 'hearing' started last Monday and was expected to last all week.

But it depends what was meant by 'hearing'. The hearing is usually the final stage of more lengthy displinary proceedings. If he meant that proceedings only got underway last week then its unlikely they'll get to the final hearing and decision stage that quickly. It seems from other cases that there's a gap between the decision and the announcemnt of the outcome, possibly to give each party the chance to lodge an appeal within the 14 days allowed.

So keep biting your nails

Premier League would become more boring than it already is without relegation. I reckon attendances would eventually fall.

When Birmingham got there 9 points deduction (the nearest comparable to us) it started on the Monday and ended on the Friday with a announcement on the same day!

Just get the feeling there is something else happening with Wednesday apart from the EFL charge and that's why it's taking so long.

sustainability of an entity is down to a measure of profitability that provide a business with enough nett profit to reproduce endlessly year on year. Where this happens sustaining reproduction is not an issue.

Where there is a break in the reproductive process due to shortfall of raw materials or profits due to overproduction the entity may fall back on accrued capital from earlier years to sustain continued viability at a later date.

Alternatively a business owner is so wealthy that he can sustain a loss making concern for an infinite time period. The business though loss making remains sustainable.

If there was, and I assume you mean administration , both matters would need dealing with separately so absolutely irrelevant to this FFP nonsense case
