pazowl55
There are strong rumours going around on social media that FFP is to be suspended for 12 month for all European Football. What will that mean for us if this is true??
ANDY
If true it’ll mean suspended going forward. knowing our luck because process has already begun the EFL will still chase us to make an example.
royalowlisback
Nothing, (apart from later seasons), we are being 'done' for previous seasons.

striker
Good time to rebuild the squad, if DC has inclination to spend?
pazowl55
Does a suspension of the FFP rules for 12 months also mean a suspension of any punishments for that 12 month period. Got to hasn't it.
Ever the pessimist
It means we’ll still be punished and probably relegated. I also expect it won’t be reintroduced the following season. Certainly not in the current form anyway. So, much like parachute payments, we’ll have missed out on a favourable situation.
theowlsman
It means we’re going up and Gary Monk is our king. No hold on, that’s not what the tea leaves say. On reflection, a more accurate interpretation is that we’ve ****ed up and Mr C has the monk on.

I just got a feeling that it will be a minimal points deduction, one that certainly wont send us down. Last thing the EFL want is an appeal from us. (Which will happen if it relegated us.) delaying the start of next season. Because dont forget under normal circumstances the EFL would have about 8 weeks for that appeal to all be done. Be lucky to have 2 weeks now between seasons. Cant start a new season if we are appealing getting relegated from the last.
Guest
Would imagine they could still deal with us Time is seriously against them now though, may get something like a suspended fine or something the club wouldn’t appeal , will the EFL risk starting a new season with an appeal in for a points deduction that would’ve relegated us Carnage Edited June 18, 2020 by Guest
theowlsman
I reckon we’ll privately get the option of a points deduction or pay a significant fine, because at the end of the day, the EFL is just after some money. I’m not saying they’re bent by the way. That would be your own interpretation of events. 1
WalthamOwl
If indeed it does mean we can spend what we like I guess we will find out if DC does have lots of cash left like he says he does.
