I’d extend him for a year as a back up based on our current situation

If we went down - he would be a very good player in L1

He was the one that was always going to.

Good on him, we were getting worryingly short of bodies

Difficult to justify giving him a 1 year extension; not the same player anymore.

Good news given the current situation.

Arsenal lost two players in the first half. We need bodies.

Can he play up front?

Fletcher was injured all along. Players starting to accept extensions. Loan players in talks.

Dont know why everyone was panicking for.

lol

He will be on reduced terms - it’ll cost us to bring someone in as a backup

We need a big squad we don’t know where we could be or what the situation is next year - luckily we have a big backer, some other clubs might be limited in their budgets next year and we could have an advantage

My favorite player for a long time!

Shame he is not the same player of a few seasons back

Sad day when he leaves but understandable moving the club forward.

But surely with him reaching the grand old age of 32 next week, then really we have got to look at releasing him and replacing him with one of these younger, fitter, hungrier pkayers that people keep saying we should be filling the squad with.

I'm glad that he has agreed this. If any of the others turn down the offer to extend , would you blame them?

Absolutely no doubt with this. I bet he said “yes” without hesitation.

It's a no-brainer for the players they need to work, put themselves in the shop window as well.
