Fletch surely on bench? Cant risk playing him and him gone for 3/4 games - needs managing

8 days till our next game. Would think if he is fit he starts.

Players within the “training group” So all the players he’s fallen out with he won’t be bringing back...no Westwood or Hutch then 🙄

Again, if he is fit, no doubt he will play these 2 games in June. Some ambiguity in terms of what happens afterwards but I have a feeling that fletcher will extend given he’s a model pro

The way other players at Sheffield Wednesday talk, and the way we perform without Steven Fletcher I really do wonder how we're going to get on without him when he leaves the club.

It seems he's not just a massive player in terms of goals, but also in terms of how all the other players feel when he's not there on the pitch with them

Whether he stays or not I am expecting Monk to buy a similar type player in the summer. Clearly the way he wants to play involves a Fletcher type player.

Garry Monk: “With Fletch, he picked up an injury last week so he didn’t train, he had a slight niggle. But he has back in training this week and has trained all week”

“In terms of that side of it, all the players that are in the training group that are out of contract have been asked to extend beyond this month and into next month to complete these games, that’s the short-term view right now.

”They’ve all been asked. There are a few discussions still going on with that but we have time. We have until the end of the month to finalise that.

“We need everyone in in this period in terms of the bigger picture. Hopefully things will get done.

The vital ones are Fletch and Fox. None of the other out of contract players are regular starters.
