Wow thought he was the next striker to possibly make the grade. I know we let his pal go Hammoud?

Nope that's just a massive Owlstalk myth. Was never going to make it IMO. Hope he gets another lower league club.

Da Cruz is a million miles short of the quality you need at this level.

I completely disagree with this!

It is too early to properly judge but from the glimpses ive seen i think he has something to offer.

I’d go with Nuhui up top, with Reach/Murphy behind.

                          Wildsmith

Palmer  Iorfa    Borner       Fox

       Luongo Bannan

Reach    Murphy  Harris

           Nuhui

Only issue there is Fox, Nuihu will be free agents and Murphy loan will have ended. Luongo has not played for most of the season so wont be fit, but besides those 4 you should be ok.

Not had many games, still time to see if he's up to it.

Maybe this isn't the best moment to blood a youngster.

Depends on points deduction as without that we don’t need to pick up much over the last 9 games and that would mean it’s ideal for blooding youngsters.

If were expecting a 10 point deduction then were in a relegation scrap and we need to try and win

Oh yeah because the goals would be flying in with Rhodes...

If he got as much playing time as Nuihu I hazard he would have scored more goals. But don't worry we will get to see because from 1st July the only striker we will have will be Rhodes. :duntmatter:

I was assuming a dog fight.  Hopefully he will fire us to a play off place. lol

Shouldnt be in this situation in the first place unless contract extensions are lined up just needing to be signed? See nobody has mentioned winnall we just writing him off then?

Same situation - out of contract at the end of June, like all our strikers but Rhodes.

Think you're missing the point. They won't be here.

He is one of the poorest players I have seen in 35 years of watching Wednesday.  His touch, positioning, awareness, movement are all way below standard.  He has a decent engine, and is reasonably quick but they do not cancel out the ineffectiveness of the rest of his game.  There were times when he played when the rest of the team had to constantly tell him where to go, where to pass including the extraordinary sight of Fletcher physically moving him out of the way.

I said at the time, if he continues to start there is a player welfare issue as the crowd would turn on him quickly.  Now the crowd arent there his continued appearance will simply make us an easier team to beat.

Over the last 3 seasons Rhodes, FF and Nuhiu have scored at almost exactly the same frequency.

Nuhiu - 18 goals - goal every 231 minutes

Rhodes - 14 goals - goal every 221 minutes

Forestieri - 13 goals - goal every 218 minutes

Fletcher - 26 goals - goal every 216 minutes

Facts and gut instinct don’t always gel.

Surely any loans will have already ended unless we have extended them.

Loans normally go until end of May at the latest.

If we extended then we will have done it until the end of the 9 games
