Which is the main reason I'm going for a refund on my season ticket, these could have all been sorted out by now , I'm not willing to watch us on ifollow with basically a second string team to choose from and get battered every game, ridiculous situation!

As opposed to watching the first team get battered every week since christmas

Bit worrying that we have won 2 drawn 3 and lost 9 of the last 14 games. 9 points taken. We are only 9 points from the drop with an unknown EFL decision looming. Then now only half our squad us available. Frightening really. How have we got ourselves into this situation. And 15 games ago we were 3rd :duntmatter:

How we got ourselves into this situation? Easy m8. Gary Monk.

So we have these 16 available for the last 7 games. Which could be crucial for us even if we don't get points deducted. Scary.

Cameron Dawson

Joe Wildsmith

Tom Lees

Liam Palmer

Julian Borner

Dominic Iorfa

Moses Odubajo

Osaze Urhoghide

Joey Pelupessey

Barry Bannan

Massimo Luongo

Kadeem Harris

Adam Reach

Alex Hunt

Conor Grant?

Jordan Rhodes

They'll be more than 16 available as we'll be delving into u23's I'm sure but if they're good enough or not I'm not sure lol

Wouldn't be able to play for us this season.

Presumably most if not all other clubs will be in a similar situation.

So as of 1st July the Championship will consist of 24 teams playing at half strength whilst lots of experienced footballers sit at home waiting for their agents to find them a club for next season?

Sureley a blanket extension of contracts to the end of July would be more sensible.

Should have kept the manager we had when we got to 3rd at Christmas

Yes, lot's of other clubs will be in this situation, and I'm not sure a blanket extension of contract would be legal, it would be tantamount to forcing the players to work (paid work) for clubs, sometimes against their will, simply not feasible.

And some players have signed short term deals, others (as is their right) refused them, see Bournemouth. It's a mess, brought about by unforeseen circumstances, what can the clubs do, just carry on.

We’ve got 2 weeks, I can’t imagine them all leaving and at least 3 or 4 aren’t retained

Short term extensions have to be offered by the 23rd of this month, not sure if they also have to be accepted by then.

It wouldn't be legal I wouldn't think.

Just imagine the claim if a player was forced to accept his contract being extended and then caught covid though.

Correct, no chance this would be legal.

Did Connor Kirby get released then? Someone said it on here but heard nothing

not sure that's been confirmed yet but he can't play for us this season anyway as he's meant to be on loan at Macc, similar to Penney and JVA

scary times. Looks like were starting from fresh which we’ve needed for years. We do need to well structure our wage budget. Can we add Rhodes to the list too?

Yep very scary with Dawson in the net
