HIGHERSTATE
Starting songs on a packed tram before we beat Cardiff to make the play-offs Walking out onto the kop to see the crowd for the Wycombe match All the afternoon and evening when we beat Bristol City 3-2. 28 degree heat, flooding and Kieren Lees winner. Watching us dismantle Blackburn at Ewood Park and disbelieving what I was seeing in the first leg of the League Cup 93. How loud the kop was during the (first) 1-1 draw with Everton, FA cup January 1988. Atdhes equaliser versus Fulham this season..I've never heard Hillsbrough boo an opposition team so much. Sticking one at Knockaert. Seeing a packed Old Trafford before they put the seating in. Being relieved when Warhurst equalised versus Derby to make it 3-3 FA Cup 1993. And every trip to the Baseball ground was amazing. Beating Man City at Maine road 3-1...Their fans singing Swales out..our fans singing Swales in. Antonio goal versus Carlisle. Reminding why you support this team and all the fans on the same page for once.

nevthelodgemoorowl
Beating unbeaten champions elect Spurs 2-1 at Hillsborough Old Trafford cup win 7-2 Day after Kennedy slaying, Layne set up by Dobson for wonder goal v Wolves in a 5-0 win The rapid 4 goals in as many minutes just before half time v Burnley 63 or 64 Mobley and McCalliog at the Villa Park semi final 2-0 win over Chelsea 66 The show of loyalty in the relegation games v Man City lost 2-1 and Southend won 2-1. We said we'd be back and we were 2-0 at Anfield. The League cup run/Promotion double really was something to savour. If it's Wembley it must be Wednesday, or was it the other way around. Third tier I know but 44K flock to Cardiff for a real treat and Massive Party. and the 5-4 and 4-4 v Manchester United never got a mention though the 5-4 was the best game I ever saw but no History ! Whilst Rotherham are being mentioned , the two late goals to snatch victory from them , especially after their obese sweaty manager had charged up the touch line like an escaped Jersey cow after they went 2-1 up in the 89th minute. That was pretty special.

alanharper
Taking the cup finals and 1993 semi as read. Shirtliff injury time winner at WBA, shortly after Francis levelled James Quinn injury time winner at Hull Nigel Jemson injury time winner at West Ham Antonio injury time winner against Carlisle Kieran Lee injury time winner at Rotherham (I wasn't even at this one but went ballistic!) Everybody loves an injury time winner don't they?! Celebrations at Selhurst Park 1992 and Brentford 2005 to clinch Europe and play off final respectively Walking up the North Stand gangway at the 1984 LC game against Liverpool and seeing the Kop packed like I'd never seen it before My first ever away game at Leicester in 1981, being amazed at how many Wednesdayites were there and the noise they made The 1983 FA Cup quarter final at Burnley. I couldn't even see the goal at our end, so when they got an early penalty I just watched the stand at the side which was half Wednesday and half Burnley, praying that it would be our fans that celebrated. Bolder saved it and our fans erupted. Kicking gravel into the back of Larry May's stupid slip on shoes as he gave me a ground tour in the 80s.
