Westwood and Hutchinson

Recommended Posts

Monk has confirmed Westwood has had an injury even prior to the Corona situation and is currently in rehab so a bit far off match fitness

Hutchinson he’s confirmed isnt in any plans to come back and he’s said again he’s already spoken to the player

Now - I’m sure a few months back Westwood didn’t have this injury and was deemed to be poisonous etc on the team? He issued a statement a few months ago and now the music seems to have changed from Monk on him, have they cleared the air - is there a future again for him?

No.

It's a 'back in 2 weeks' situation

Monks obviously changed his tune regarding Westwood, with an eye to the transfer market

It's a big shame Hutchinson is off. Listened to his podcast interview talking about mental health and how if he had the right manager and set up that it would make a big difference to him. Maybe it wasnt that he was such a bad influence more than he wasnt understood by Monk?

The same Sam Hutchinson that criticised the club for having to train daily in one interview, and then said he's not happy if he doesn't train and needs to push himself in another?

Hutchinson does seem to be our Pogba of the dressing room.

So many bits of information or disinformation about Hutchinson.
I remember an interview from the early Carlos era where he said he felt fitter because he had to train every day.

Then recently he seemed to be saying training every day under the current management was one of the problems.

Then he had ‘issues’ if he didn’t train every day.

I can understand any manager taking a dim view of any player not being willing or able to train regularly.

Pretty toxic combination-player who thinks he is better than he is and seems to be a union rep in the squad vs a now pretty inept manager who appears to have destroyed all confidence and commitment in the side.

Sounds familiar. Same players, different manager. Coincidence or what ?
