In reality it is a bit like that mate. Pretty sure the club will be getting feedback from their solicitor, and that relegation, or some sort of embargo, maybe more realistic than we think Recruitment might be hampered, whichever division we’re in, and if it’s, say, only six players allowed, we probably need to keep a few. Also why Penney has belatedly been offered a one year deal.
If the worst happens, they’ll be OK in League One, and if we survive, they can act as back up while we concentrate on new players for the starting eleven To be honest, I never thought there would be a major overhaul, 5 or 6 players at the most

Yep , exactly this

this truly is the final nail in the coffin of our once great football club.

shameful decision, what impact will it have on Hunt's chances of development and was this re-signing a factor in Kirby leaving?

we must be heading down with a points deduction, it's the only reason we'd keep him

If we are charged and get a point deduction or another transfer ban DC needs to get out of our club. People surely can’t keep defending him if we are charged with this. The man is slowly killing our club.

yep, the fact our young players won’t be given a fair chance to show what they can do because of this waste of a shirt Pessy is a joke.

That may well the case

But it’s got absolutely nothing to do with planning for any eventual outcome, if we get charged after we’ve released all the players you want releasing and end up on an embargo will Chansiri leaving the club solve any of them immediate issues ?

I know your post is tongue in cheek, however the worrying thing is that those 2, along with 2/3 others, would struggle in Div 1.

Rubbish

I've been told numerous times on here that nuhiu is a game changer in this league

League one should be a peice of p155

for him

Not buying it in regards to keeping Pelupessy.

We only needed 5 or 6 without him. As for Penney it was mentioned at Christmas by Monk that he had a future at the club so his extension was inevitable.

A transfer embargo, financial trouble, DC turning off the tap etc. aren’t justifiable reasons for keeping hold of bad players that are out of contract. He won’t be on much admittedly but he’ll be on more than the average League One player, so if we go down he’ll be a highly paid player in that league.

now is our chance to get rid of the deadwood that has been clogging up our squad for too long. I honestly would rather we got rid of the likes of Pessy, Nuhiu and gave the young lads a chance if indeed we do end up in another embargo. Long term is a massive worry while we have DC In charge and his mate pulling the strings.

Don’t worry I think they still will We were never going to sign 4 new midfielders

Guest The Horse

Is Joey one of Paxo's boys by any chance?
Because, as others have mentioned, this points to Monk having little to no say in dealings.
I'm genuinely interested to know if Paxo is invloved in this.
If not, fair do's and casts (even more) serious doubts on Monk.

You could be right, that was just my take on it What I would say though is, it was starting to look as if we’d need more than 5 or 6, more like 9 or 10. Always thought that number was unrealistic, in the championship anyway, so resigning Pelupessy means it’s one less
