Has anyone seen any of the behind closed doors games?

What did you think of it?

Some have said they switched off after five minutes as they couldn't stand it

Others said they enjoyed watching the standard of football regardless of lack of atmosphere

Tried to watch one of the German games last week but just couldn't get into it. As for the atmosphere, or lack of, it was pretty similar to what we've experienced this year at Hillsborough 😁

No-one on the site seems to 'hate' football.

The opposite is probably true.  They spend most of their time rambling on about it and are annoyed/dismayed at the governance and the nonsense surrounding how it's run.

I think the country should just chill for another month until everyone can be confident enough to get back to some sort of reality.  But I bet big business is putting pressure on the government.  If however Wednesday are playing again I'll watch it on the internet, but I'm definatly not paying cos we had season tickets.

A lot of people seem to be just stamping their feet asking for football and shopping back. Also half the people on the internet seems to think it's a cospiracy by the new world order and our facist government have got us where they want us. Also that vaccines are evil.

I'll be just happy when I get to see my 76 year old mum.

I have to ask as you all seem to hate football so much, why are you reading a football forum at all?

...and then going to the trouble of telling us how much you hate it, how it stinks and how corrupt it is?

You could be out cutting the lawn instead, if you haven’t got one mine needs doing.

Wednesday aside I’ve very little interest in football at all these days

Is anyone now ready and excited for football to return?

It seems like forever since we last had a match to talk about

With football in other countries already back underway, a return to Premier League sorted, and possible restarts for Championship bro g discussed what do we think it’s going to be like?

If it’s behind closed doors and broadcast on IFollow will you watch?

Is football the same when only viewed on screens/devices?

On the ball wi that pic 😁. The footie....it will be like a bad session on a blow up. UTO.

I have absolutely no interest in football at the moment, who cares?

I'll just watch out of curiosity cos theres nothing else on TV at the moment.

And pray that by August/September we'll have some sort of a squad and we'll be still in the Championship.  We all know thats our main concern.

How can I be excited when I'm not allowed to go ?  Football is utterly pointless without fans. I stand by my original position, cancel the season, start again with everyone at the position they were at start of season.

We still have thousands of new infections and hundreds of deaths EVERY DAY. I'm all for easing the lockdown gradually but not for a trivial thing like football yet.

I'd be a bit more excited if Hutch and Westwood were involved. George Boyd not so much.

Instead of you trying to score points off people why do you answer the question of whether you’re missing football.

I don’t miss football.

No, couldn't give a throw about the Premier League and difficult to get excited about any games behind closed doors.

Its not football for me without fans. Suspect I'll be as interested as I am in pre-season because that's effectively what it is. Games with no atmosphere and little point, with many teams having nothing to play for and players running out of contract.

Cannot wait. Would go to ground to watch if they open it with no concerns.

not everyone will agree and I respect your opinion but that's my two pence worth

me 2 I have no concerns at all going even if it was tomorrow  ,going forward the  shackles will need to be released you cant have 98% of the population not working ,not going to school ,not going out shopping, not socialising ,not playing or watching sport and so on . there will have to come a time that the gov will say that's as far as we can go on lockdown measures , it looks they have decided October is that time as all furloughing ,free giveaways are coming to an end and wont be extended so that might answer that question . people will have no choice to return to work with a full opening of society with probable advise of caution for over 70s ,the ill and frail going forward so a lot of our oap supporters might be advised going to a game is a risk , but me personally if I was over 70 I don't think id want to spend the last few years of life  locked away.

So you'd rather have 6 weeks relaxing and watching TV and another 10 years doing all the things you wanted to.

Or 3 weeks sticking your fingers up to the government, then potentially 3 weeks before a painful death.

Not sure they and their families would agree.   It's not like hiding under the bed that everyone thinks it is, it's just showing a degree of common sense.

Football is within my DNA,  but in a seasonal way.

It’s over now.. my footy body clock has ticked on, the momentum and interest has waned... like a fabulous supper that is interrupted by a lengthy and disappointing phone call, you return to the table and  your wife has done her best to keep it warm but it’s just not the same.... you bin it and look forward to the next fresh serving.

I've missed watching footy on TV, I've missed junior football even more, I've really not missed the nothing, troubled SWFC season that this has turned into and the strange atmosphere at Hillsboro. I'm not sure other than the 'programmes £3 quid' man, that the players will notice Hillsborough being empty. Desperate for this EFL charge to be resolved one way or another!!

Sadly though it's not 6 weeks followed by 10 years doing what you want.

if you you are vulnerable now you will still be vulnerable in 6 weeks time, and until such time as a vaccine arrives.

we're told this could be 2 or 3 years if at all.

It just comes down to a lifestyle choice at the end of the day
