agentwalker
I'd take him back over Monk any day. So long as DC gave him the time to build a team. I think previously he was under the promotion in the next 2 years at any cost rule.
Matt_1
Carlos with a clean slate and a much improved recruitment structure in place? Not a terrible idea in my opnion.
0wl18
Carlos was the best we’ve had in my lifetime. The problems IMO were down to poor recruitment in his 2nd and 3rd seasons. An issue we still have to this day so, you have to ask whether that was purely his fault?

Stoop
CC walked into a near on perfect situation at Wednesday. He inherited a solid team, with an excellent spine, new chairman, huge budget, he also had a fan base with a genuine feel good factor after years of gloom Imo he did a decent job at Wednesday, but not an excellent one. Let’s be honest a top 6 finish with a side including Westwood, Loovens, Lees, Pudil, Wallace, Bannan, Lee Hutchinson, Lopez, FF and Hooper is par for the course the championship

We improved but, to claim it was a solid team is a little far fetched. It’s easy looking back now and saying you’d expect a top 6 finish with that team. At the time next to nobody expected us to achieve what we did in that first season. The recruitment that first season was phenomenal, Wallace, Pudil, FF, Bannan good solid players. Since then it’s been poor. Was Roeder the key to our recruitment the first season? I can’t remember when he moved on but, there’s been a drastic change in fortunes with regards to recruitment which could coincide with his exit. Carlos was the best we’ve had for probably 2 decades, it went sour in the end however, we shouldn’t forget what we achieved under him.

I stick with it The side that finished 12th had an excellent defensive record and had the excellent spine of Westwood, Loovens, Lees Lee and Hutchinson. All it needed was creativity and firepower, and the additions of Bannan, FF, Wallace, Lopez and Hooper did just that

That team is remembered as being better than it was, it was great going forward but soft without the ball. It was meant to be the start and we were arguably a more well rounded side the second season (albeit with a lack of pace, height and a defensive mid which we only just got round to rectifying).
