trev
One of the few shining lights of this season. Been awesome at times (and equally terrible at other times) and at one point was apparently attracting prem interest. Do we think he could leave this summer to try and balance the books a bit and if so how much could we/should we ask for/get?
Stoop
Thing is with Wednesday we never sell when a players stock is high, we’d rather keep them watch them go stale and release them on a free
Guest wilyfox
Key player - and probably our most valuable now. Want us to keep him and build around. But, a good time to buy for clubs that can.
trev
So what we thinking for a fee worth selling for? North of 5 mill? 10? It's a tricky one as he could be great. But we've been here before and not sold at the right time.
Bluesteel
We wouldn’t get as much in this market. Suspect we might be better keeping him.
Stoop
At this level you’ve got to be looking to sell anyone when you get a decent offer FF should have been sold to Derby when he threw a tantrum, and we should have been looking at flogging Reach last Jan when he scored a couple of screamers on live TV. Now FF will leave for free next month and we’d be lucky to get our money back on Reach Anything above £5m and Iorfa should be sold imo Edited May 9, 2020 by Stoop
Guest
Under Bruce he looked a real powerhouse and a real prospect He's had flashes of brilliance this season but just had as many mares Good player no doubt but not ready for the Premier league yet IMO

Bluesteel
It’s been this season at CB that he’s received plaudits isn’t it? I agree that we should sell when the money comes in, especially for a centre half as they can be credibly replaced. But would the limited no of PL clubs looking at Iorfa have the kind of cash available now that they would have pre covid 19? It may be that the market shrinks and the prices are all relative but if we are judged against the same FFP losses then it’s only big money that makes a dint in that. Bouncing Owl
Definitely keep in this market. Play him week in and week out at right centre half. We need to build the team around him. Gives us that height, pace and physical presence that we need in this team.

As good as he has been, if a decent offer came in which allowed us to rebuild some of the squad then I would allow him to go. Same for every player, there isn’t one of them I would keep if a decent bid came in.

The selling of players at the right time has always been an issue under Chansiri. You can’t run a business without their being sales. To continue to let players’ contracts run down until they leave the club for nothing will always be a bugbear of mine. You can look back at the last 4-5 years or so and identify a handful of players that if sold at the right time (one a year for example) would have helped to balance the books and not left us in the financial mess we are in now. Yr 1) Forestieri, Yr 2) Westwood, Yr 3) Lees, Yr 4) Bannan and Yr 5) Reach could all have been sold for decent wedge at that time and not left the club that short in terms of competitiveness but healthier in terms of FFP and P&S. Fact is, you could look back in hindsight and say that a number of these players have gone backwards in terms of value and form after these times. Loyalty in football is a thing of the past since money took over the game and something the owner needs to get to grips with. Thick skin is needed as the club is not a ‘family’ but a business. To answer your question though I’d rather see us cash in on Bannan or Reach if we had to rather than Iorfa as he could grow in value more in another year. gurujuan
One of the problems when buying predominantly older players, is they have little or no resale value The only player we have been able to cash in on was Lucas Joao, one of the few younger players we have signed
torryowl
yeah been impressed with him …..the one bruce signing who consistently delivered .
Silkstone Owl
Genuine question but do you think that player ‘value’ actually means anything at the moment with everything that’s cracking off?
Rogers
He’s not consistent enough to command a decent fee IMO. Knowing Wednesday, we’d probably get £1.5m - 2m tops, then what do you do? Can you find better out there for less?
TomtheOwl95
Had some very good games for us. You could see a lower end Premier League club coming in and taking a chance on him. Probably needs another year at this level, still some areas in his game that aren't there yet. Would be sad to see him go but would understand him going for a decent fee.
