striker
As I've said before, there is no sporting integrity to this, complete bullshit. EPL/EFL would sanction 5 a side games behind closed doors in a leisure centre as long as Sky pay for the rights. If football cant be played safely, including fans then it isnt football. Dicking about with shorter halves and neutral venues is desperate.

Discussions about the Premier League's return are ongoing but Taylor says players are "concerned" about safety. "They are not stupid," he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme. "They would have to be satisfied that it is safe to return, and it is their choice." The Premier League is hopeful of a potential 8 June resumption. "We don't know the future but we do know is what propositions have been put, what ideas have been put, the possibility of having more substitutes, games possibly not being the full 45 minutes each way with talks of neutral stadiums," said Taylor. "Ideally, you want to keep the integrity of the competition, and of course, that was about playing home and away and having the same squad of players as before it was suspended. "So there's lots of points to be made, but above all, can the seasons be completed and can they be completed safely?" Taylor's comments follow a number of Premier League club doctors raising a range of concerns with league bosses over plans to resume the season. The mans a bloody genius. He’s made himself a very rich and powerful man in the football game by stating the bleeding obvious for 30 years. handworth52
so say they make it 80 min games for rest of season so are they going to reset all results this season to 80 mins? or are they going to decide season after game 23? both of those sound good, but its not done to help us its done to help who they want to help. if premier resumes without relegation then exactly what is the point of carrying on? Liverpool have the title ,nobody cares about who finishes 2-3-4th so who on earth would in effect would want to watch a load of worthless pointless games? surely sky/bt would say if there is no relegation then none of our viewers would be interested

In my opinion ALL the ideas are bizarre ! I know some people say football, like any business, has to plan for the future. Well, the safest and best way to plan is to cancel the season (apart from the League Cup whih is already completed) and offer grounds, facilities and resources to the wider community during these unprecedented times. Start next season with every team in the same position as last August. Start when it is safe to do so, and when fans can attend. Football is making itself look greedy, out of touch, and, with these daft suggestions, stupid.
