Could this affect the Championship too?

Utterly Utterly bizarre...

So totally outer space it beggars belief

I could understand quarters so there’s 3 breaks to use hand-gel on the field.

Sets a great example for fans and especially kids too.

Hand gel?

They're sweating, spitting and climbing all over each other

lol

Makes sense to have reduced halves, those few minutes could save their lives.

Safety, my hairy arse.

Current research is suggesting that even recovery from the virus can leave organs damaged for an indeterminate period and that these effects are exacerbated by strenuous exercise. So what's the football authorities response to this?

Quick, quick, get 'em back out there. There's about 762 million reasons why we're so anxious to improve the nation's morale.

Id be amazed if regular washing or more likely gelling isn’t part of any game management.

What’s to stop a player going down feigning need for hand wash?

The poor dears will be tired out if they play 45 minutes.

If football resumes in June and of course that’s a big if, we would’ve had a 3 month break which is the equivalent of the close season.

If they persist with trying to complete this season then however this pans out, it effects next season. Whatever decision they make about this season has to take into account next season.

The subject of money keeps cropping up but it’s a perfectly valid one. Without income clubs particularly lower down the scale will struggle even more to make ends meet.

Can you imagine the EFL coping with a flux of team’s struggling financially to fulfil their commitments. FFS they made a right pigs ear of it when it came to handling the issues of just Bolton and Bury not to mention later on Macclesfield?

I fear this isn’t going to end well for anyone in the game and let’s be honest, if the desire is to keep everyone safe and protect lives, which it should be. While current guidelines remain in place, getting football back on shouldn’t be even being considered?

But you have to do it in your normal shoes to add interest.

They have to wear kickers

Makes more sense to not play at all, that would be  better for saving their lives .

Didnt realise the extra 10 minuites could be the difference between catching coronavirus and not. Wow. What a stupid thing to say.

Either play the full 45  as it's safe to do so or dont play at all.

The love I had for this game is really coming to an end. It's all about money.

I've never had a lofty opinion of Gordon Taylor (understating it slightly).

That hasn't changed today.

As Brian Clough once said, it only takes a second to catch a virus.

Precisely why putting players onto a football pitch sweating and slavering over each other could be tantamount to murder

Don’t see a problem to be fair, as long as they have their phones on them at all times with the virus app activated.

Not sure what difference losing 5 or 10 minutes would make regarding the safety of the players tbh.

some ideas being discussed are quite frankly bizarre

If losing ten minutes per half is safer because of less time to interact.

Surely not playing at all is far more preferable

You could make that even safer by having teams not actually in the same ground

Just send a goalkeeper along to the opponents ground, and have different penalty takers come in each day to take theirs

What have you gone and done...........
