The only way this gets to court is if they go against the advice of government and medical advice and start the season up, which ends in players or staff getting ill or worse. And they will just say in a few weeks all the leagues in Europe are scrapped. and open the transfer window again as normal and say everyone prepare for the new season in say. Sept. Oct. If they played the remainder of this season and then start the new one in say December then there is just to much logistics to deal with. Contracts, transfer windows, fitting in new season before euros in 2021. (Which will 100% not be moved about again). adequate rest between old and new season. But deep down they know it's done. When the chief medical officer of Fifa says football shouldn't be played until Sept. It's over. Bundesliga will try first and fail. Then the rest will fold. Jim Posted April 29, 2020 Share Posted April 29, 2020 I think both the Premier League and EFL are waiting for is for the Government to turn around and say there will be no sporting events here until September at the earliest just like the Dutch and French Governments have done? It makes it easier for the football authorities if they are being told rather than being advised? There is more chance of shutting everybody up then and makes court cases less likely? I also don't see how you can give titles, promote and relegate teams when clubs haven't played the exact same opposition the same amount of time; Villa are in the bottom three because they've played a game less than Watford...you can't relegate them for doing well in the league cup and playing a game less!
