I doubt anyone will remember the 1st but plenty the latter two  #WAWAW

Great headlines #OnThisDay day 90 years ago as Wednesday secured back to back 1st Division titles after a 6-3 trouncing of Derby County in front of 41,218 at Hillsborough. Wednesday scorers that day Allen (3), Hooper, Millership and Rimmer !

50 years of hurt #Onthisday in 1970, 45,258 were at Hillsborough to see #SWFC's last gasp fight against relegation - but someone forgot too tell the
@ManCity sub the plan and after losing 1-2 Wednesday were relegated from Division 1 - it would be a long and winding road back #UTO

Happy Birthday Plonk. My birthday too. On the kop City game. Never thought that defeat would lead to so many years of decline. Why didn't they just let us win? In the home crowd for Ewood (Riverside stand) just 20 minutes away from where I've lived for the past 40 odd years. Gave up trying to get into the Darwen end. Spent as much time watching our fans as the match. It was wonderful to see and hear the explosion of noise and mayhem when spider Mellor scored the winner. What an atmosphere. I certainly wasn't the only Wednesdayite in the home crowd that night 😁. More than 10000 I would wager.

Blackburn - one of the great nights

Emotionally possibly the greatest night of my time watching us. The comeback, the will to win, the shared joy.

Man City was the worst night game ever - until maybe the Huddersfield game.
