Dutch McLovin
Oh dear. Starting next season off on -12 then as surely sense will have prevailed and we’ll have voided this one by then
bigdan2003
Totally wrong time to be doing this. Appreciate that the current situation shouldn’t be used as an excuse to get away with anything, but surely now is the time for all clubs and EFL to work together to ensure the league remains viable. Talking about how to save the league and clubs within it, but then pushing ahead with questionable disciplinary action seems quite counter productive at the moment. I disagree It's time to get it done and out the way so we know how to get through it and plan. Should be tomorrow ideally but looks like we have to wait a bit longer Owlstalk Shop

nbupperthongowl
So the arbitration process decided that it was legal to charge the club with the breach then? Maybe the EFL could find time to talk supporters rather than write a 30+ paragraph press release bwhich says nothing

To my mind though, with so much certainty I don’t see how we can plan for both football “life” after the pandemic as well as the life with a possible embargo, points deduction and whatever else they might throw at us. Having said that, it’s not until July so hopefully by then we may be on the other side of this pandemic and things might be a little more clearer. Plus we might not get any punishment anyway. Also, the EFL surely need Chansiri (and other chairmen) onside at the moment. Because they might need these clubs to cooperate when it comes to rebuilding this league after the pandemic. So asking them for help whilst holding a noose around his neck probably isn’t going to work.

I understand what you're saying but if the EFL scrap this charge then other clubs will just go gung ho against any rules in future and point to us as the reason/standard why Owlstalk Shop

catdog1121
Well this could be interesting, I wonder if any points deduction would be for this season or next? What if its for this and the season is scrapped. What if its for this and we get relegated... Could we argue had the season not been prolonged the points deduction would be for next season... Given the timing of this I would suspect any points deduction would likely be applied to next season but then if the season goes ahead would Birmingham complain? What a mess the EFL have got themselves into.. Also given the pandemic will they in future be more lenient? Could this again be rise to a challenge that we have been treated differently, the EFL are between a rock and a hard place here..
Five Archers
Been around Wednesday for 58 years now and i know how this will pan out, the charges against us will be dropped, then this season restarts in August and we only have half a team of first team pro's. Resulting in SWFC getting relegated for fielding an under strength team.

Ever the pessimist
We’ll get hit hard. Then the P and S regulations will be massively loosened going forward (they already are being reviewed) so others will not need to resort to the same kind of chicanery we have. All of which will mean we are even further behind everyone else.
