The huge swfc lockdown poker tournament

Recommended Posts

Just tweeted the club to see if there may be a way of setting this up. With a bit of marketing there’s no reason why a huge online tournament with swfc fans from around the globe couldn’t enter, with players, club staff, former players etc etc, basically anyone that wanted to play. We’ve all got plenty of time on our hands. Put a % of the pot to charity too. No reason why couldn’t get a few thousand entering if word is well spread and be great if some players joined in. Just think it would be a good way of bringing the club and fans together and would raise a decent bit of money for charity too.

Great idea although the club will be wary due to the gambling aspect.

Maybe get Owls Trust to host? Would be a great way for them to promote themselves.

It's a good idea, but not sure if it is something the club would get behind. If the winnings go to charity then they might be interested. Would definitely be a good way of creating a sense of unity in this uncertain time.

Ideally I think a % of all entries go to charity, a third maybe. Would be a shame if the club wouldn’t. Think a huge tournament would be great, especially the pull of potentially being on a table with a player

do you think gambling aspect would be a problem, especially when the club sponsored various gambling platforms?

do you have a contact for the owls trust?

If anybody has PokerStars and wants to play a daily cheap tournament with people from Sheffield then join the following home game:

Club ID: 946453

Password: 62isthenuts

Daily competition starts at 7pm and is only £5.50. We usually get 22-25 runners.

Usually last 2-3 hours.

Can this site be used to set up a poker game for a bunch of mates online? For free? Does it have a chat capability for tablet banter?

Tried a few apps but they were poor.

You could make a tournament that is a play money buy in, if you opened your own home club.

Chat is good on the site.
