Season tickets were never a 'go to' for a lot of fans back then, the cultural change was just kicking in when we last played in the Prem, pay on the day was pretty much the norm for a lot of people, a legacy of the day's when we could still stand up. Times have changed and football attendances have boomed again in the last 20 years, particularly when compared with the previous twenty or so, pre matchday ticket purchases to maintain segregation coupled with database registration and an increase in families attending where once they didn't, have changed all that. My first full season ticket was for 01/02 season, never bothered or couldn't afford one before but I've had one every season since. I only missed one home game right through 80s and 90s but paid on day or bought a ticket in advance for bigger games.
sherlyegg
For yonks, pre DC ..average crowd was nearly always split 50-50 ...season tickets, pog. For a big game all ticket...a pog could nearly always get one if they really wanted. Though the crowd shrinking association have played a part now

I could be wrong but I’m sure we sold around 18,000 in the early 90’s it made front page headlines in The Star or have I imagined that

@owlstalk
It's frustrating not being able to see the numbers over the years Would be of interest to many I'm sure to see how we did each season Owlstalk Shop
royalowlisback
Every year under Chansiri, Season Ticket sales have increased by twelvety percent, based on the same period from the year before, even if they went on sale at a different date. Surely you know this?
