No, if you're on £15k a week, you'd get £15k a week, as you wouldn't have any earnings above £15k to be affected by the 50% cut. If you're on £20k a week, you'd get £17.5k a week; £45k a week would get £30k etc...

The argument is still there, so if your on £16k a week then it's £8k, so if your on £15k a week you'd get £15k. 1

What?! 'All earnings above £15k per week are to be cut by 50%', meaning that the first £15k are untouched for all, then anything above that is halved. If you earn £15k, you'd still earn £15k. If you earn £16k, then that extra £1k over and above the £15k is halved, meaning you'd earn £15.5k.

Most Club's even in the premiership are struggling due to high wages, nearly all in the Championship are in debt.

Rogers
PFA saying a drop in wages means a drop in taxes, which will have a knock on effect on the NHS. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52168692 Weak argument IMO

SiJ
Pretty shameful, but not surprising from Taylor and his cronies. Very transparent.

Utah Owl
Absolutely disgraceful by the players and the PFA. At 63k a week, each player could pay 50 nurses salaries per year and still earn more in a week than the average national wage. 20 EPL clubs each with a first team squad of 25 = 500 players who could easily afford to fund that. It would be the equivalent of 12,500 nurses salaries. Hope everyone cancels their SKY subscriptions and boycotts the EPL for a year (at least). areNOTwhatTHEYseem
This is really starting to leave a bad taste in the mouth now, isn't it? The PFA's approach is shameful. Quotes like this seem like a bad parody: "The players are mindful that as PAYE employees, the combined tax on their salaries is a significant contribution to funding essential public services - which are especially critical at this time." If Premier League footballers are really worried about paying their fair share towards the NHS etc, all they have to do is make a voluntary contribution out of the millions most of them earned this season alone. I'm going to find it hard to follow the top levels of the game once all this is over if their attitude doesn't change sharpish.
