@owlstalk Posted March 25, 2020 Share Posted March 25, 2020 The Riverside Cafe and Bar on Catch Bar Lane next to the Sheffield Wednesday ground The Riverside is a popular cafe and bar where Wednesday fans enjoy a pre-match all day breakfast, and a pint in the bar upstairs or in the beer garden to the rear It was built on an empty plot of land (see below) a few years back and locals thought it a strange place to open a new cafe given it's location, but since opening locals have been all too happy to walk a distance to it for their breakfasts or lunches. After a period of time since opening, the cafe expanded into a bar upstairs and opened up to the public on matchdays as well as the occasional evenings too. Before the Riverside - an empty plot of land next to an old disused police station? (am I right?)
