As I say by season 3 he had done with us and wanted to go to Swansea

And went for talks with them a few times whilst still our manager...

But he still tells people he's 'an Owl'

And also tells people Swansea were his childhood team

lol

I bet you at the time that you expected us to beat them

I bet you....

I think people are looking back on Carlos reign with rosy tinted glasses

You owe me a tenner, I go into most fames never sure of what the result will be.  One of the very few times I was convinced we would win was against Hartlepool at Cardiff.

No he didn’t. I know the previous Chairman of Swansea and that story is nonsense.

Why would you sack him then?

Doesn't make sense

Because the conditions on the ground aren't going to allow him to thrive, and the club needs a more immediate response. Using Monk as an example, if he's  incapable of getting results out of the squad, and the goal is to avoid relegation at all costs, then there's a good argument for him to be sacked. Even if you believe he'll have a good squad in 2-3 years from now.

All I'm saying is that someone might have faith in a manager's abilities, yet still believe it's wise to give them the boot.

We’ve been so starved of entertainment and success, it’s natural to hang in to CCs first season.

But we didn't evolve or improve, teams worked us out, and plan b was usually to stick Nuhiu on for the last 20 mins.

Disgraceful I agree but don't tell me you are naive enough to think this doesn't happen the football world over.

He's not an Owl much more than he is a Swan but I am sure he has many good memories of his time managing us.

Doesn't mean he didn't do a good job for the best part of two seasons.

Why did you expect us to coast a top 2 finish?

What I'm saying though is if Monk is capable of a top 6 finish you surely wouldn't sack him and go looking for someone else...

It wouldn't make sense

If the manager is capable of a top 6 finish but is struggling that would mean the environment (lack of coaches - so you'd get coaches, or bad players in the dressing room in which case you'd get rid etc) was wrong and not the manager

Yet he tweets out to our fans that he will always be an Owl and they are convinced he's not blagging them...

Then goes and tells Swansea fans that THEIR club is his real childhood club

And STILL our fans are convinced he's not blagging them...

It's like some kind of warped trance that he's put people into

lol

You can't think there was no contact at all before we sacked him on Christmas Eve and they appointed him on the 27th?

That’s a stretch. I’ve got a mate who grew up in Swansea and Wednesday we’re his team from being a nipper. Had a season ticket in the north for 30 years.

Can't understand why you'd vote to sack a manager capable of a top 6 finish

Doesn't make sense

Carlos said that's what happened

Chansiri said that's what happened

Who's lying to our fans?

When Swansea knew he was on the edge, they made his agent aware they would be interested in talking, if and when the trigger was pulled.

That’s the story. Not he ‘went for talks etc’. It’s a story that might not make fit in with the agenda, but we are where we are.

Was he on the edge though? Don't think DC would have sacked him if he clearly hadn't already had his head turned.

Just checked and we’d not won in 7, and sat in 15th. It was a fair shout that his job was under threat. Carlos was actually heading to Benfica before Swansea three money at him.
