Re Forestieri - what actually is his best position?

Recommended Posts

Left wing when he's not being a mard-arse.

So about 4 years since.

On the bench when the match dictates our only option is to bring on someone that will try to dribble past everybody & shoot from 50 yards.

Since his refusal to travel to Norwich his best position is at any other club stupid enough to have him.

The owls are not what they seem.

His conract run out on June 30th, probably won't play for us again. A great pity.

A number 10 role behind a front 2 with the freedom to appear anywhere in that space.
Even in the dismal recent run he showed his ability to link play.
Still not at his best though

Who cares, he’s probably played his last game for us now anyway.

When we played against brighton, on the attack, with pudil playing as an attacking wing back to look for on the left, Wallace spreading their defence on the right, Bannan in the middle of the park instead of next to the defence, Gary Hooper in the middle.

Kind of inside left. Left of an attacking 343.

Think in the first two seasons it was out wide or in behind the main striker, cutting in but also having a bit of freedom to win the ball and to express himself with it. Thereafter the failed play off campaigns, sadly his best position has arguably become a mixture of being on the bench, in the treatment room or in the stands.

Left mid. Always worked best with Nando on the left, Hooper and Nuhiu up front.
