There is an interesting question as to whether FFP rules will be relaxed in terms of owner cash injections considering these events.

Can you imagine being a league 2 team which now has no potg income..... players potentially not being paid, director loans just to get through the next few weeks

What amazing foresight we had to remove that issue by pricing potg supporters out, so we can make ends meet on the season ticket income

I think it means DC cannot balls anything up for a few weeks / months.

At least we will get to see if he does genuinely have the finance now as the match day income will be stopping for the foreseeable future.

We hardly have any POTD ticket sales and our corporate boxes are never used .

For those commenting re Liverpool, Leeds etc.  Almost certainly their achievements will be not recognised - the season will be effectively cancelled.

Big financial issues coming as a result.

Bet if season cancelled some clubs would look into taking legal action if denied promotion or a European place.

Think they will have to scrap and start the season again. Understand that clubs may want to mount a legal challenge, but based on what, we might have got promoted...and who would they replace in the PL.  think this pandemic is a little more serious than one football season. Any formula other than canceling the season or actually playing games would cause mayhem.

The casual staff who work at SWFC will lose their wages

Sad times for them. If you are one of them and are reading this my thoughts are for you. Hopefully you will be ok and not too reliant on the wages

Massive knock on for local businesses too. Nightmare for local pubs and food outlets that rely on football fans. Really feel for them.

"In this fast-moving environment, further updates will be provided when appropriate."

Not denied though as have not achieved anything as yet points wise...except Liverpool who have enough points for Champ league already.

On what basis could any legal action be successful?

Surely it can’t.

They can threaten - but I can’t see it.

That would be interesting in court?

Clubs Vs Pandemic COVID 19...Only one winner
