Apparently his paternal grandfather was from Dundee and that was his favorite side growing up. 

 

His mom, Cindi Harkes, also played for our ladies team.

Were we blessed with keepers in 90 ? Obviously remember Turner but who was his understudy ?

Mmm.  Maybe some fat local bloke who played 478 games for us in all competitions.  Easy to forget him.

Harkes had one of best engines I’ve ever seen in a Wednesday player. Him and Carlton in the midfield certainly covered some miles. He’s probably still eating out on his goal at Derby in the Cup when he’s back over.

We had decent keeper department back then.  As well as Turner and Pressman there was Lance Key and Marlon Beresford.
