If we beat the FFP/EFL charge

Recommended Posts

Let’s say we beat this FFP charge and no points are deducted

Lets say the season is called off for Coronavirus

What is it that you can see to say that the next season we play will be any more successful?

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on this one..

With premier league prices?

you asked about next season playing more successful , but in terms of the pricing yes it’s a lot but If we have a team in the top 6 fighting etc then it’s a lot more justifiable than the current situation

Doubtful we would have a top 6 team if we just flush the first team through with kids

im not saying kids. I mean a team with a younger average age with more energy , better attitude, desire for the cause and want to win attitude. Some of these players can be picked up for low prices .

Clear out , fresh younger blood who want to play for the club and want the shirt . We would start from a fresh with new optimism and a complete clean slate.

We’ve been saying this for t’last 20 years.....never ever gets boring....🙄

If DC still wants to go on his boom or bust approach and this season is cancelled and we won the FFP case then we would have around 20million in room after posting a 2 million profit last season to invest in the squad.

DC could literally chuck some cash at it again :ghoulguy::duntmatter:

We have had the half season from hell. 2 wins in 14. And we are still closer to the play offs than relegation (P&S not inc...)

Play offs will be a realistic prospect and the key is to get all stakeholders pointing in the same (upwards) direction.

All seasons start with hope. We need a stronger squad and a mode of play at home that excites the fans. Attacking front foot football. Not neccesarily 4 up front. In time fans will buy back in.

The owner issue etc is a sideshow that only comes up when clubs are doing badly. United, Leicester, Forest, loads of others have got crap owners. They only get heat when the team stops doing well.

I don’t think that shows any reason why we would have a better season

I wouldn't say Leicesters owners are "crap" in any way.

There is loads of things that need attention but starting with -

NUMBER ONE - A proper football manager to oversee the following

a) Thinning the squad out

b) Signing players that are better than we have (sounds simple though we never seem to get it right)

c) Make sure the players that are signed have  sellability  (See above)

d) Sort out the training ground and elevate it to academy status
