Will the Forrest match be cancelled?

Recommended Posts

I already have a back-up plan, Alfreton Town vs Brackley - quality of football will probably be better anyway 😂

It also spreads in air droplets (coughing and sneezing) and stays on surfaces, so I think whilst good hygiene and habits is the key, thinking pragmatically how much can you rely on literally everybody to be hygienic. If the aim is to stop spread then you do what will achieve that in practice not in theory.

Yep, I agree but I can’t live my life in fear of someone not doing what they should or else is never leave the house. I’ll do what the officials say I should do until they tell me to do something else.

Our company has just given a brief on covid-19, anyone who can work from home without effecting business productivity is do so and go home immediately.  We are to be sent DSE assessments for our working area at home, this is going to last a while,  Site staff are being assessed and onsite works will be halted when deemed necessary.  If employees of large companies are being sent home whether Ill or not I don't see how football matches and other large events can go ahead, I recon all football will be postponed imminently.

Can't see it going ahead tbh.

Wait out on this COBRA meeting today?

The way that things are developing in terms of event cancellations and businesses sending people to work from home I’d be amazed if this was to go ahead now. Behind closed doors is the most I can see happening.

I would imagine all  large events will be cancelled or behind closed doors after todays meeting.

Basically the whole world is going to go into self-isolation.

It's only a matter of time.

No way is this football season going to finish and the euros will be cancelled.

Woohoo!

My advice was given by a clinical nurse specialist who has worked with immunocompromised patients for years.

I've also seen how a virus can go through a hospital ward.

It's not scaremongering I'm pretty sure I would be fine if I caught it.

But you obviously have a responsibility to the less fortunate

You don't know the circumstances of folk you come into contact with

It's something to bear in mind

Personally think it’s pretty selfish that the football hasn’t been postponed/cancelled in this country. Italy and Spain have done so. Not sure why we haven’t followed that yet. Maybe they are waiting for it to become worse before they pull their finger out.

Sensible decision now is to cancelled this season.  not worth the risk.

I agree but how would it work for relegation and promotion? Completely void so teams all start next season in the same league?

Play all games behind closed doors and have the players wear hazmat suits.
