Hopefully the EFL do something about his ownership. If those comments are true, the man clearly has no clue and needs to be removed from his position.

Hoping for reasonable action from the EFL is a fools errand.  They were content to let Oyston lord over Blackpool for decades.  Absolved themselves from the Bury FC fiasco.  Bolton dying without a finger lifted.  EFL is utter uselessness.

About this Brentford model.

A couple of years ago on here there was a lust to be like Brighton because they got promoted by signing experienced players etc.

Now Brentford are doing alright we want to be like that.

If we try to be like brentford by closing our academy etc and signing players released by Cat1 academys and try to find up and coming young players, if it doesn't work for us, then what?

Just to have any plan at all would be a start.

This is getting scarily like Blackpool. I can see it getting very ugly if our owner doesn’t leave.

How sad that the thing I’ve loved for 27 years is slowly being burned to the ground.

This^ if we end up in league 1 or 2 and the chairman is still saying fans should be more positive and support the players then there will surely be protests.

The EFL need to step in and help save our club,  points deductions punishes the fans not so much the owner.

I think it's more delusion than anything else.

He genuinely believes the stuff he says.

I agree, I guess I was just meaning more in the way of he doesn’t give a crap about FFP etc because he said he still believes spending the same way is the way to go.

well things aren’t working at the minute! Massive massive changes need to happen at this club.

People are finally waking up to the utter stupidity of our owner.

His comments from previous forums suggested he might be insane. I was hoping it was just bluster, but with the way things are going, and the announcement of yet another bonkers scheme (10 year season ticket, which is actually a 15 year one, or possibly one that lasts a lifetime), it's becoming obvious how clueless he is, and why so many people have taken advantage of him. Nightmare.

Yes but I see even fans on here are still giving him an excuse as he has “good intentions”.  It doesn’t matter if his intentions are bad or good the fact is he’s not fit to run a football club and unless fans protest then nothing will change. i suppose just stopping going to games might make Chansiri realise he’s wrong

The road to football purgatory is paved with good intentions.  DC can fizz off.

If it was me, I would do all that I could to find out why they perform so much better than we do in an area that is critical to running a club under the current EFL constraints, map out a strategy and identify the type of backroom staff that would be needed to fulfill the plan. Then I would look for ways to improve on the Brentford model if I possibly could.

DC approach: Throw money at it and hope we get promoted.

Obviously but to think copying brentford is the answer is a daft. To do anything remotely like it we would have to take a few huge steps backwards (if possible) and patience from the fans for the next 5 years.

I'm very ok with dropping leagues if it means we have a transparent plan and competent ownership.
